New Update for Dental Design Viewer: See Your Cases Come to Life, Right from Your Orders Page

We're excited to announce a major upgrade to your customer portal. You can now view your scan files and completed design files directly inside your order — no downloads, no extra software, no waiting. Everything is right there in your browser, in full 3D.

What's New

When you open any order in your account, you'll find an interactive 3D Design Viewer embedded directly on the order page. This viewer lets you:

• View your scan files — the original case geometry captured from your patient's intraoral or desktop scan, displayed in full 3D so you can inspect the preparation and surrounding anatomy.
• Review your designed files — the finished CAD restoration as designed by our team, viewable from every angle before it ever hits the mill.
• Rotate, zoom, and pan freely — click and drag to spin the model, scroll to zoom in or out, and right-click to pan. No plugins needed.
• Toggle individual components — if your case includes multiple units or parts, you can show or hide each one independently to focus on what matters.

How to Access It

1. Log in to your account at My Account.
2. Go to Cases/Orders and click the Order you'd like to review.
3. Scroll down to the Design Files section on the order detail page.
4. Click Open Design Viewer to load it instantly in the 3D viewer — no download required.

Why We Built This

We know that communication between your practice and our lab is one of the most important parts of the restoration process. Being able to see what's been designed — before it's milled, before it's shipped — means fewer surprises, faster approvals, and better outcomes for your patients.The new viewer uses the same visualization files generated directly from our 3Shape design workflow. What you see in the portal is exactly what we designed — no conversion loss, no approximations.

Available on All Orders Going Forward

Visualization files will appear automatically on all new orders as they're processed through our design workflow. If you open an older order and don't see the viewer yet, it simply means that case was completed before this feature was introduced.If you have any questions about a specific case or the viewer, reach out to our team — we're always happy to walk you through it. Please note that if your scans are not pre‑aligned before being sent in, the Design Viewer will display the scans exactly as received. Pre‑aligning your files prior to upload prevents this issue and ensures the alignment appears correctly.
