CAE Dental offers exclusive discounts for Crown & Bridge CAD Design cases submitted through the 3Shape Dental Manager → 3Shape Communicate workflow. These discounts apply only to cases where CAE Dental receives a complete 3Shape order package and does not need to generate or store CAM files on our servers.
This guide explains how the discount works, when it applies, and how to ensure your case qualifies.

💡 Why We Offer This Discount

When a case is submitted through 3Shape Communicate using a full 3Shape order package:

  • All design data is already structured inside the order
  • CAM output files are generated on your end, not ours
  • No server storage is required for CAM files
  • The workflow is faster and more efficient for both sides

Because this reduces processing time and server load, we pass those savings directly to you.

🏷 Discount Eligibility

The discount applies only to:

✔ Crown & Bridge CAD Design cases

Including:

  • Single crowns
  • Multi‑unit bridges
  • Inlays/onlays
  • Veneers
  • Temporaries

✔ Orders submitted through 3Shape Communicate

Your case must be sent using the 3Shape Dental Manager → Send to Design Center workflow.

✔ Cases where CAE Dental does NOT need to create or store CAM files

If your 3Shape order includes all required manufacturing data, no CAM generation is needed on our side — making the case eligible for the discount.

❌ When the Discount Does NOT Apply

The discount does not apply if:

  • The case is submitted through the CAE Dental web portal instead of 3Shape Communicate
  • The order is missing required 3Shape data and we must generate CAM files
  • The case type is outside Crown & Bridge (e.g., dentures, splints, full‑arch, implant bars)
  • The order is incomplete or requires manual reconstruction

If CAM files must be created or stored by CAE Dental, the standard pricing applies.

📤 How to Ensure Your Case Qualifies

To receive the discount:

1. Connect to CAE Dental in 3Shape Communicate

Search for CAE Dental and accept the connection.

2. Use a complete 3Shape order

Your order should include:

  • Full case setup
  • Material selection
  • Margin lines (if applicable)
  • All required scan data

3. Send the case through Dental Manager

Depending on the 3Shape version you have:

Right‑click the order → Send to Design Center.

Right‑click the order → 3Shape Communicate → Send update to CAE Dental.

4. Do not upload the case through the CAE Dental website

The discount only applies to cases transmitted directly through 3Shape Communicate.

Your Crown & Bridge pricing automatically adjusts when:

  • The case is received through 3Shape Communicate
  • The order contains complete 3Shape data
  • No CAM file creation or storage is required

This ensures consistent, predictable savings for qualifying cases.

📥 Receiving Your Completed Design

Once your design is finished:

  • You’ll receive a notification through 3Shape Communicate
  • The completed design files will be attached directly to the order
  • No additional upload or download steps are required

This keeps the entire workflow inside the 3Shape ecosystem.
