📘 How to Send Digital Scans From Sirona DS Core

Overview

Sirona DS Core is Dentsply Sirona’s cloud‑based platform for managing digital impressions, patient files, and lab communication. Once CAE Dental Lab is added as a connected partner, you can send scans directly through DS Core for a fast, streamlined workflow. This guide explains how to connect your account and submit cases efficiently.

🔗 Step 1: Log In to Sirona DS Core

To begin:

  • Visit ds‑core.com
  • Log in with your DS Core account
  • If you don’t have an account, follow the on‑screen prompts to create one

DS Core serves as the central hub for managing scans, files, and lab connections.

🧭 Step 2: Navigate to the Lab Connections Area

Inside DS Core:

  • Go to Labs, Partners, or Connections (label varies slightly by version)
  • This section allows you to search for and add dental labs to your account

🔍 Step 3: Search for CAE Dental Lab

Use the search bar to locate CAE Dental:

Select CAE Dental from the results list.

➕ Step 4: Add CAE Dental as a Connected Lab

Once CAE Dental appears:

  • Click Add, Connect, or Request Partnership
  • Confirm the connection when prompted

CAE Dental will now appear in your list of available labs for future submissions.

📤 Step 5: Send Scans Through DS Core

After CAE Dental is added:

  1. Open your patient case in DS Core
  2. Select Send to Lab or Share with Partner
  3. Choose CAE Dental Lab as the destination
  4. Attach your digital files:
    • Upper STL/PLY
    • Lower STL/PLY
    • Bite scan
    • Photos (optional but recommended)
  5. Add case notes and submit

Your case will be transmitted securely through the DS Core cloud platform.

DS Core supports:

  • STL
  • PLY (color scans)
  • OBJ
  • Photos (JPG/PNG)

CAE Dental accepts all DS Core export formats.
