📘 How to Download Your Completed Files
Overview
Once your case is finished, CAE Dental provides your final design files directly through your account dashboard. This guide explains where to find your completed cases, how to download your files, and what to do if you need alternate formats or revisions.
📂 Where to Find Your Completed Files
1. Log In to Your Account
- Visit caedental.com
- Click My Account
- Enter your email and password
2. Navigate to Your Orders
Go to:
My Account → Orders
You’ll see a list of all active, completed, and past cases.
3. Locate the Completed Case
Look for the status labeled:
- Completed
- Delivered
- Invoiced
Click the order number to open the Order Details page.
📥 How to Download Your Files
Inside the Order Details page, scroll to the section labeled:
- Designed Files
- Screenshots
- Completed Files
You’ll typically see links for:
- 🦷 STL files (upper, lower, bite, final design)
- 🧩 Zip Files
- 🖼 Preview images (if provided)
- 📄 PDF reports (if included)
Click each file to download it directly to your device.
📦 Common File Types You May Receive

| STL | Final crown, bridge, splint, denture, or implant design |
| ZIP | Bundled files for full‑arch or multi‑unit cases |
| PTS | Margin line based Point Cloud |
| Design preview, notes, or verification | |
| XML | Detailed TXT file for manufacturer use |
🧪 Verifying Your Files
After downloading, you can open the files in:
- Your CAD software
- Your 3D printer software
- Your milling CAM software
- Any standard STL viewer
Check for:
- Proper margins
- Correct occlusion
- Accurate contacts
- Correct implant interface (if applicable)
If anything looks off, you can request a revision.
🔄 Need a Revision?
If you need adjustments:
- Return to the Order Details page
- Scroll to the notes or communication section
- Describe the revision clearly
- Upload any supporting files (new bite, photos, screenshots)

⚠️ If You Don’t See Your Files
This may happen if:
- The case is still processing
- Additional files are needed
- A revision is in progress
- The case was completed but not yet released
If the case shows Completed or Invoiced but no files appear, contact support.
