Whether used in single-tooth restorations or multi-unit prosthetics, our Custom Abutment – CAD Design proves to be a reliable and essential component for dental practitioners across various procedures.

Titanium Abutment: is 1 solid piece of Titanium (no cement).

Hybrid Abutment: is a Ti-base with a Zirconia / Emax / etc abutment shape to cement together.

Screwretained Abutment: is a Ti-base with a Zirconia / Emax / etc crown shape to cement together. Hole goes through the crown.

Example 1: If you want a Hybrid or Titanium abutment with a cement retained crown that has a hole through the access hole. Just select the type of abutment, add a crown and put in the notes that you want a access/implant hole through the crown.

Example 2: 3 unit Screwretained bridge (#3-#5). Select the 2 Screwretained Hybrid abutments (#3 and #5), and a crown to the order for the pontic (#4).

If you have questions how to place the order please dont hesitate to ask.

Question:

Do you have a list abutments you offer?

Answer:

No we do not have a list since there are so many implant manufacturers. We are in the USA and use 3shape as our design software. If the implant manufacturer has gone through the 3shape FDA approval process than we can design it otherwise its not yet available. If you have purchased your scanbody from a US company than it should be available otherwise just ask what the brand is and we can let you know.

Question:

Can i do screwretained crowns?

Answer:

Certainly, there are 2 options available. 1. ScrewRetained Crown Hybrid, where there it is a crown shape that is cemented to a Tibase. 2. Standard Titanium or Standard Hybrid abutment, which is a prep shape and then you can add a Crown as an option. Once you select the crown there is an option to add a screw hole to make it screwretained.

Question:

Can you use the Cerec Scanbodys(Pyramid/triangle shape) to design?

Answer:

Currently, that scanbody is exclusive to the Cerec system, and we do not use Sirona software for designing. Because these systems are locked, we recommend switching to a more flexible alternative. One option is the Dess system, which is highly open. Scanbodies can be bought from distributors or directly from Dess. Millions of appliances have been fabricated using their system, offering you the freedom to collaborate with a wide range of partners since it is not a locked system. We suggest exploring various options and not limiting yourself to any one locked system.

After submitting the order, you will have access to upload the scans/files for a Abutment - CAD Design

Please input the Tibase product # that way we can design the correct Tibase for your restoration.
If using a Dess Tibase they have 2 gap settings. Which is the space between the Tibase and Crown/Abutment top/coping/etc.
If you would like us to use the Dess Angulated Blank, please select this option so its used in the design. Otherwise it will be a straight Titanium Blank.
Please note: For a Titanium abutment the guide will be for the abutment shape. If its a Screw Retained Ti-Base abutment then it will be for the crown shape. If you add a crown to a titanium abutment, the guide will still be for the abutment shape and not the crown.
Please explain how you would like the guide sectioned
