When fabricating a crown under a partial it is very in convenient for the patient to have to give up their partial for an extended period of time. The attached pdf ( Fabricating Crown for existing clasp ) is a technique of using Blu-Mousse and resin to duplicate the partial where the crown is being fabricated. Although the best results are achieved with the partial in the lab hands while fabricating the crown (exp. adjustment of clasp’s and rest seat to allow for enough clearance to the new prosthetic), using other alternatives might be a better option for the patient’s satisfaction and comfort. Let us know if you need help understanding this technique for a partial case your office is working on.
